Geometry: Tessellations

In maths this week we learned about tessellations and patterns that tessellate, (repeat). The children then created their own patterns as you can see from Sebs awesome Minions tessellation.

Maths- Drawing 3D shapes on Isometric Dot Paper

Shapes with a Minecraft theme! This week we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes and learning to draw them from different angles. The children have really enjoyed it and today we applied our knowledge in art when learning to draw a vanishing point.

Confirmation

Annalise, Zara, Hana and Mrs Dooley would like to say a very big THANK YOU to Father Wayne for the wonderful Mass we celebrated on Saturday evening. Annalise, Zara and Hana were unable to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation two weeks ago so Father Wayne confirmed them together last Saturday night at the 5pm Mass. It was a wonderful celebration we shared with our Parish Community. We are so fortunate to have Father Wayne as our Parish Priest. He makes us all feel SPECIAL.

Confirmation Mass

Congratulations to all of our SH1 students who celebrated the sacrament of confirmation on Sunday, what a wonderful event! Thanks to Mrs Dooley, Father Wayne, Mrs Marsh and Mr and Mrs Wiley for all of their hard work in preparing the children and the families.
